Terms of Use & Refund Policy

1. Product and contract information

DemoKit is a browser-based tool for building and exporting interactive HTML demos from screenshots. The free tier and the paid license's features are described on the pricing section of this site. The checkout identifies the product, total price including applicable taxes, currency, and any activation limit. Review that information before ordering; the checkout information prevails if it is more specific.

2. Checkout and delivery

Purchases are processed by Polar Software, Inc. as Merchant of Record. The seller identity, payment methods, taxes and invoice details are shown at checkout. After successful payment, the license key is delivered using the contact details supplied at checkout. Internet access is required for activation and periodic validation.

3. License

A purchase grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the paid features of DemoKit (including unlimited steps per demo and the option to hide the "Made with DemoKit" badge) for personal or internal business purposes, with no recurring subscription charge. License keys may not be published, resold, shared outside the licensed user or organisation, or used to bypass technical limits.

4. Ownership of exported demos

You retain full ownership of the screenshots you upload and the demo files you export. Exported HTML files may be freely hosted, embedded, modified or redistributed by you, with or without a license, subject only to the badge-removal condition in section 3.

5. Free version, compatibility and local data

The builder works without account registration on the free tier. Current versions of major desktop and mobile browsers with JavaScript and local storage enabled are supported. Screenshots and demo content are processed locally and are not transmitted to us. Hosting requests and license activation/validation use network services as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Right of withdrawal and refunds

Consumers generally have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. For digital content supplied immediately, that right may expire after access begins only where the consumer has expressly consented to immediate supply, acknowledged the resulting loss of the withdrawal right, and received the required confirmation. The checkout and order confirmation provide the applicable instructions. If those requirements are not met, statutory rights remain unaffected.

Refund or withdrawal requests must be submitted through the support link in the Polar order receipt or to support@ikayou.com with the order number. No additional voluntary money-back guarantee is offered unless the checkout states otherwise. Statutory warranty and refund rights remain unaffected.

7. Tool scope and no hosting service

DemoKit generates a static HTML file from the content you provide. We do not host, review, moderate or store your exported demos, and we are not responsible for where you choose to publish them or for their content.

8. Warranty and liability

Statutory warranty rights remain unaffected. We are liable without limitation for intent, gross negligence, and injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence, liability is limited to breaches of essential contractual obligations and to foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Liability under mandatory law remains unaffected.

9. Updates and availability

Browser APIs and web standards can change. We may update the builder to maintain security or compatibility. A license is not a promise that every future feature will be included at no extra cost.

10. Governing law

German law applies. If the customer is a consumer, mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country of residence remain unaffected.
